VIP Barbershop

Authorities said an Allentown barbershop was offering more than buzz cuts.

In fact, they said it was the center of a drug ring that trafficked an estimated $5 million worth of cocaine over the past year.

Undercover agents purchased about $40,000 worth of cocaine over the course of several trips to the VIP Barbershop in Allentown, State Attorney General Tom Corbett said.

Authorities also placed wiretaps on cell phones.

Agents wound up searching eight properties and seizing 9 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1.1 million, according to authorities. They also seized more than 53 pounds of marijuana and 10 firearms.

By profiling the Lehigh Valley in such great detail over the past few months, FMB has begun to paint the portrait that is Karpuk, albeit in broad brushstrokes. Child sex predators and cocaine-pushing barbershops? No wonder he won't leave!
