Starting All Over

Why does it feel like every Monday we have to start all over? I mean the weekends with friends and family fly by so fast, it's almost like we don't get a chance to enjoy it. Now we're back here (work) and trying to just get through the week to do it again. Oh well...we'll always have the memories.

I'm watching the Red Sox-Angels Patriots' Day game right now. A Red Sox player just hit a fly ball that drifted down the left field line, threatening to go foul. Garrett Anderson, the Angels LF, went near the stands to try to make a play on the ball. Before he could attempt the catch, a Boston fan (ala Steve Bartman) reached up and deflected the ball, causing it to fall harmlessly in foul territory. This guy saved the Red Sox a sure out, yet was strangely not called for fan interference. His reward? His beer dumped down the front of his shirt when Anderson bumped into him, AND A FULL SLICE OF PIZZA THROWN AT THE BACK OF HIS HEAD FROM A FAN TWO ROWS BACK. They just showed the replay - the guy prevents Anderson from catching the ball, and nary a moment later, another fan rears back with his slice of pepperoni and launches it at the guy's dome. Bizarrely enough, the guy who threw the pizza was wearing a Patriots jacket, implying that he should have been thrilled when the interfering fan prevented Anderson from catching the ball. I guess those decisions become more difficult after you've been drinking since 10am.
