The epicenter of this earthquake is about 400 miles away from the Bay Area, so suffice to say, I'm alive. LA may have experienced some aftershocks, but a 5.1 quake isn't that big and probably won't reverberate that substantially.
When I came out here to look for apartments in July 2005, I was woken up in the middle of the night by a ~4.8 quake centered near San Jose. I guess I always expected the shaking to be somewhat rhythmic, when in fact it's completely erratic. The experience was really unnerving, your stomach gets all tied in knots.
I guess the main question is what made Chris Kelly so angry this week? Do you think it was our response to his wife's email?
that email made my life...
