Police in Illinois found a Connecticut man who was reported missing last year, but it remains a mystery why he left his wife and son.
Officers in Aurora, Ill., say they were responding to a complaint about an intoxicated man early Friday and that man turned out to be Samir Patel, who disappeared last October.
Police say a check of Patel's driver's license through a national database showed that he'd been reported missing by his family in Milford, Conn. Aurora police then notified Milford police.
Patel is in his late 30s and used to manage a convenience store. His wife had put up posters around town when he disappeared, and his co-workers offered a reward. Police say it isn't clear why Patel left Connecticut.
